Electrical Inspection

Buying, selling, or just uneasy about what is behind the wall — a straight assessment of what is safe and what is not.

Voltage being verified at an outlet during an electrical inspection

An inspection is worth the most at two moments: before you buy a house, and before you spend money on it. Both are moments when what you need is an honest answer, not a sales pitch.

We walk the system — service, panel, grounding, bonding, devices, and visible wiring — and tell you plainly what is unsafe, what is out of date but fine, and what can wait. If nothing needs doing, that is what we will tell you.

What this covers

  • Pre-purchase and pre-sale inspections
  • Panel, grounding, and bonding checks
  • Aluminum and knob-and-tube assessment
  • Code-compliance review
  • Written findings you can act on

Common questions

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — All Covered Electric holds California contractor license #1133116 and is fully insured. You are welcome to verify the license with the CSLB before we start.

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free. We will look at the job, tell you what it needs, and give you a number before any work begins.

How fast can you get here in an emergency?

We offer 24/7 emergency service across Sonoma County. Call (707) 339-0691. If something is actively sparking, arcing, or burning, shut off the breaker if you can do so safely — and if the situation is dangerous, call 911 first.

Do I need a panel upgrade before installing an EV charger?

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on your existing service and what else it is running. An EV charger is a large sustained load. We evaluate your capacity before quoting, and we will tell you if your panel can already handle it.
